This has been a cool week for Hazel's Light. Two snowfalls in one week have been beautiful. We have been busy with semi-annual inspections of our fire protection sprinkler system, smoke detectors, and fire alarm. We are ready to move in residents immediately.

We attended the "Church in the Workplace" conference in Atlanta last week. The information and Spirit of the conference were exciting and motivating. We returned full of enthusiasm for this ministry.

Our advertisement came out in McKinney Living magazine today, and we are getting calls. If you don't get us on the phone, please leave a message and I'll call you back as soon as I can.

What an unusually warm December we are having! I took this photo December 2.

We are ready for residents and are excited about opening our ministry here at Hazel's Light. I have been contacting hospitals, rehabilitation centers, physicians, and home health care agencies.

We have hired a wonderful caregiver with many years of experience. Call us - 972-548-4943.

We had a successful open house on November 10. About 20 people came. Today we had the ribbon cutting ceremony with the McKinney Chamber of Commerce. As you can see from the photo, we had a good time.

We are ready for residents, and also ready to hire one more caregiver. Look for applications on line soon.

We were inspected this week by the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS). Although they wanted a few bells and whistles (like new door handles) WE HAVE PERMISSION TO OPEN WITH 3 RESIDENTS! We have accomplished every thing that the DADS inspector required, so we should have paperwork on this soon.
